allertaLOM is the official app of Regione Lombardia that allows users to receive Civil Protection alerts issued by the Functional Center for Monitoring Natural Risks of Regione Lombardia, in anticipation of natural events with potential damage to the territory.

How does Civil Protection alerting work in Regione Lombardia?

The alerts concern predictable natural risks (hydrogeological, hydraulic, heavy storms, strong winds, snow, avalanches, and forest fires) and are categorized into increasing levels of severity (green, yellow, orange, red) depending on the gravity and extent of the phenomena. The alert documents are intended for the local Civil Protection system and provide instructions to activate the countermeasures outlined in the Municipal Civil Protection Plans. For citizens, alerts serve as a tool to know when to take self-protection measures by following the instructions of the local Civil Protection Authority.
